Mastering the Art of Photography
Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 8:20PM The fastest, most efficient and usually the ONLY way to achieve amazing results is to model or be mentored by someone who has achieved an extraordinary level of success. The above is my seven step method on how to duplicate, develop and improve the art of photography.

Yup! Agreed 100%. Why spend years and years doing trial and error, when you can learn directly from someone who has already gone through the same mistakes, learned from them, and mastered his craft?
Take Scott's classes, guys. I've spent thousands of dollars learning from other photographers as well, but Scott is seriously THE most accessible teacher I've had, and his lessons are incredibly practical.
Excellent theories and concept Scott!
Also, mention that when submitting an image to someone you are wanting an honest assesment from, that they need to have thick skin and not take it personally.
Sometimes people feel attached to an image and become emotional if it is not what they want to hear.
I learned to have a very thick skin and took the pros and cons of criticism with the spirit of which it was given and then made the changes I wanted or felt were needed.
Ultimately, If you feel a Photo is as good as you can make it then enter that.
If you are not skilled at some of the art techniques in photoshop then HIRE someone who IS able to enhance an image to do so at YOUR specifications.
We are all out there to improve our craft and to educate each other in the spirit of love and creativity.
Blessings,
Elena
